About the Role
OCTEC Limited is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90142) based in NSW. We are committed to serving our local communities through high quality training.
We are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to join our team based in Orange in Central West NSW.
The RTO Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of training and assessment service provision under the relevant OCTEC Training Services Program. More specifically, the position’s responsibilities include course scheduling, reporting on outcomes, student support, ensuring progression of allocated programs, managing training plans and student files for accuracy and inclusion of all necessary paperwork.The role will also support the engagement of new business clients in the Central West region.
The position requires a sound understanding of the VET Quality Framework and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, and State Funding Contracts including Smart and Skilled and Skills Canberra Funding Agreements.

Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- Experience working with a Registered Training Organisation
- Experience with using Student Management System, e.g. VETtrak
- Strong proven administration and computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience in project managing accredited training courses
- Experience in scheduling courses and conducting enrolment sessions
- Experience in dealing with trainers across multiple courses and venues
- Understanding of the Smart and Skilled funding contract
- Understanding of SRTO 2015, AQF and other relevant frameworks
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Drivers Licence
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to complete
- Qualifications in Community Services or Business
