The Opportunity
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary leader to join us as the Director of City Services! Reporting directly to the General Manager, and a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a diverse array of services that touch the lives of our vibrant community. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the efficient management of the directorate, ensuring optimal allocation of people, plant, and resources to achieve maximum effectiveness.
We are seeking someone who can bring a fresh perspective to the table, applying human-centered design principles to enhance service provision across the Group. You will champion best practice in risk management and project management methodologies, contributing to the overall success of Council initiatives. This portfolio includes two major functions of Council which are City Infrastructure Enhancement and City Place Management.
About You
We are looking for someone who is a visionary leader, who will embrace Council's Customer Driven Transformation initiatives and foster a strong customer service culture, championing technology-led innovation. You will have significant experience in diverse Senior Management roles, with a strategic mindset and understanding to contribute to the success of Council's strategic goals.
You will be tertiary qualified and/or have contemporary industry experience relevant to the role including strong business acumen, budget awareness, and strategic agility. Lastly, you will be an adept leader of multi-function teams, establishing expectations, coaching staff, and driving efficient outcomes.
The Offer
