About the Small Business Development Corporation
The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) is the primary provider of small business information and guidance within the Western Australian Government. We support the development and growth of small business providing information, referrals and business advice, and deliver programs to address specific needs within the small business sector. About the Position
There is one full-time, permanent position for immediate filling.
Applicants assessed as suitable (but not recommended for appointment) during this selection process may be appointed to other similar fixed term, casual or permanent (full-time or part-time) vacancies that may occur throughout the Corporation over the coming 12 months.
The Director Commissioner's Office manages the Commissioner's Office and provides strategic oversight and leadership to ensure that the Commissioner can optimise their powers to advocate, investigate, and report on matters that affect the operating environment for small businesses. It also enables the Commissioner to pursue an expanded role, of leveraging strategic partnerships and alliances, to improve the operating environment for small businesses.
The role ensures high-quality and efficient progress of matters for the Commissioner's attention, specifically in the delivery of strategic policy analysis, high level stakeholder engagements, and projects aligned to the Commissioner's agenda for small business.
As a part of the senior leadership team this position will contribute to, and participate in strategic and operational planning, aimed at achieving relevant strategic objectives.
The Director Commissioner's Office will also co-ordinate advice to the Board, Commissioner and Minister on the Commissioner and SBDCs activities in supporting the small business sector.
