DutiesThe Director Corporate Services’ key result areas include:
- Lead and manage the Corporate Services division by ensuring that it supports a contemporary organisational culture and is responsive to the ongoing needs of the Department.
- Provide high-level executive policy advice to the Agency’s Executive and senior management in relation to the Department’s strategic management and delivery of technology, governance, financial, health and safety and physical resource functions, and ensure the Department complies with its statutory responsibilities and maintains high standards of governance and probity.
- Implement management frameworks and controls, strategies, policies, systems and processes for the management of the Department’s technology, financial, health and safety and physical resources that are consistent with relevant legislation requirements and Government policies and are based on contemporary practices.
- In consultation with the Agency’s Risk and Audit Committee (RAC), implement frameworks, controls, strategies, policies, systems and processes to identify, manage and mitigate agency and divisional risks, and work closely with the Agency Internal Audit function to ensure Divisions are supported in identifying and complying with audits.
- Direct and coordinate strategies, initiatives and projects to support the development of a positive workplace culture and oversee the delivery of complex strategic Department projects and corporate initiatives.
- Develop, implement and monitor benchmarks and performance indicators, establish effective reporting mechanisms that enable the delivery of high level accurate information regarding performance milestones and standards for the Department’s operations.
- Oversee legislative and statutory financial reporting, including responsibility for endorsing the accuracy of the Departments annual financial statements.
- Develop, imbed, and drive an effective Corporate Planning process that engages stakeholders and sets a planning framework for strategic purposes.
- Drive systems and process re-engineering, standardisation and continuous improvement across the corporate functions that align with the Department’s goals and priorities.
- Establish and maintain effective client relationships with key senior managers to ensure high levels of satisfaction with the responsiveness, professionalism and cost effectiveness of Corporate Services.
- As an active member of the Departmental Leadership Group (DLG), support the Agency Executive to lead, direct and coordinate the operations and performance of the Agency and support a positive organisational culture.
