The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Director, Digital Learning and Systems to join the team at Northern Health.
The Director, Digital Learning and Systems reports directly to the Divisional Director, Education and will partner with business leaders, clinical educators, subject matter experts (SME) and other organisation wide key stakeholders, to define ongoing digital education and training requirements. The purpose of the role will be to lead the Learning Management Team to develop digital learning solutions using consistent learning methodologies and visual design principles that provide innovative and effective solutions for online training, education and development needs for all employees. The Director will also help create visual design standards and oversee the work and projects of other designers, educators (Medical, Nursing and Allied Health) and administrators to ensure they align with these standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience (such as formal qualifications in Instructional / Learning or Visual / Graphical Design, Education, Human Resources, Business, or Information Technology).
- In-depth experience with instructional and learning experience design - working with stakeholders on end-to-end learning projects to deliver appropriate learning solutions, including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.
- Experience working with an Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform (ie. Totara or Moodle LMS are desirable).
- Experience developing a range of digital learning resources and interactive eLearning modules using relevant applications and authoring tools such as the Articulate 360 Suite software (Rise and Storyline), Adobe Creative Suite software, Microsoft Office 365 Suite (and other relevant learning technologies and tools).
- Strong verbal and written communication, organisational and interpersonal skills including the ability to work in consultation and cross-functionally with key stakeholders to define learning needs and determine the best medium to deliver education while improving learning outcomes.
- The ability to produce high quality and impactful learning solutions such as digital assets, infographics, simulations, screen captures, imagery, iconography, editing and production of learning videos.
