Our client is a non for profit (NFP) Community Based Approved Provider (Parent Managed) dedicated to providing exceptional care to the local community. As the Director, you will play a vital role in leading a team of passionate educators and creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for children and young people.
About the Role:
- $100,000 - $126,000K + Super, pending experience / qualifications, above award rates.
- Nominated Supervisor position
- Accountable for establishing and implementing a smooth, effective, and compliant service.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 38 hours per week, with block shifts from Monday to Friday. Enjoy a harmonious work-life balance while pursuing your passion.
- Build strong relationships with families, stakeholders and the community.
- Lead, mentor and support the team.
- Ensure all areas of the NQF are met and / or exceeded.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the service operations, all whilst ensuring high quality education and care is provided.
- Manage administrative tasks, including budgeting, staff rostering, regulatory requirements, QIP / SAT, maintaining accurate records, policy development / updates, and so on.
- There is the opportunity to help build and guide the organisational structure to suit the needs of the service.
- Embrace play based learning and playwork practices.
About the Service:
- A Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC / OOSH) service, delivering high quality education and care to primary aged children (5-12 years).
- Under 160 Approved Places.
- Operates before, after and vacation care.
- Own dedicated space within school grounds.
- Approved Provider is a volunteer Parent Committee whose main priority is quality for the children, and they recognise and value the educators at the service. This is a independent, NFP, stand alone service.

- Commitment Over Credentials: While higher qualifications are appreciated, they are not mandatory. The service prioritises finding the right person who embodies their values and is dedicated to making a difference. Diploma or above in the Education space (or equivalent experience / knowledge / other relevant qualifications).
- CHCPRT001/025 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
- HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
- Experience in a leadership role within the education and care profession, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with families, educators, and the community. Also happy to hear from aspiring leaders.
- Someone who can balance the various aspects of the role, including working with children, mentoring and leading the team, and handling administrative duties
- A strong understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and all that is within (NQS, National Regulations & Law, Framework: My Time, Our Place).
- A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning, with an openness to new ideas and a willingness to implement change where necessary.
- A genuine passion for working with children and creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for them to learn and grow.
- A collaborative leadership style that encourages and empowers team members, and values their contributions and insights.
Looking for an individual that understands, adheres to, and promotes The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (the Child Safe Standards). In your position, you will create a culture, adopt strategies, and take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.Child safeguarding methods for this position, include, but are not limited to:
- A NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
- Thorough screening.
- Reference checks.
- A national criminal history check.
