About the role:
The Director of Nursing provides high level nursing leadership and guidance of our nursing workforce at Forensicare in alignment with our model of care. The DON establishes strategies to create a nursing culture that values professional standards, wellbeing, co-design, psychological safety, and collaboration in the delivery of evidence-based care. The Director of Nursing is responsible for Nursing Professional Development and the management of the Nursing Professional Development Unit. The Director of Nursing works in partnership with the Strategic and Operational Executive members to deliver our strategic pillars.
About you:
A passion and dedication to nursing and consumer care. A comprehensive understanding of the forensic psychiatric nursing profession including current evidence based practice and workforce development requirements.
