About the Command
You will be responsible for leading and planning delivery of the QCS' portfolio and reform agenda, collaborating across QCS and with external stakeholders to successfully deliver portfolio investment, lead a high-performing team and work in a diverse and fast paced environment.
The Office comprises of Portfolio Delivery, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), Strategic Transformation Group and Portfolio Change and Communications.
This is a critical role leading the Portfolio Change Group as a key business function to ensure ethe Transformation office connects and supports the QCS significant reform agenda, successfully delivering projects, embedding critical change management activities and driving organisational performance, achieving outcomes and adopting best practice.
About the Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the Portfolio Change Group and providing Strategic and Operational support to the Assistant Commissioner, Transformation Office including change and culture management, business integration, transformation and internal functionality.
This role will lead a high-performing team to deliver the QCS agenda, establish Change and Culture management capability and oversee and support development of change messaging to ensure alignment across the organisation and reform agenda.
In this role, you will coordinate correspondence and briefing materials, reports and relevant policies, objectives and collateral to meet quality assurance measures and develop strategic relationships and engage with key internal stakeholders whilst representing QCS in a range of forums and committees.
Is this role for you?
You will have extensive experience leading the provision of strategic and operational support in a large-scale and complex public sector organisation. High- level and detailed capability leading internal communications, change and culture reform and program and project management.
You will have a sophisticated knowledge of contemporary business processes to mitigate risks in a large scale complex public sector organisation, contemporary change management and business integration strategy methodologies to provide resolution across large-scale reform or transformation change challenges.
You will drive and support excellence, fostering a workplace that values collaboration and evidence-based decision making, driving innovation and continuous improvement and performance whilst working closely with QCS Media and Communications providing recommendations on media issues, drafting media responses and directly leading the effective use and management of the Portfolio Change Group human and financial resources delivering efficient and commercially sustainable outcomes.
You will have proven negotiation and influencing capabilities in a service delivery setting and the ability to drive team performance and achieve effective and successful outcomes whilst applying a detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures related to the correctional system.
A tertiary qualification would be highly regarded, although is not essential to be successful for this role.
