How will I help?
This role acts as a business partner to the group cfo, general manager group finance and head of group Performance and Insights, in driving insights relating to balance sheet, revenue and risk adjusted returns.
It is underpinned by a significant transformation ask. our balance sheet, revenue and risk adjusted return reporting activity need to deliver reporting in an efficient, simplified, driver-based and insightful manner. this will include the development and ongoing maintenance of driver-based models for each our key lines of business and group valuation models.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Finance Transformation Strategy and other partners to deliver the right outcomes for Group Finance and Finance more broadly
- Develop, maintain, automate and expand usage of driver-based models for each of our key lines of business
- Work across the GPI and Group Finance Business Intelligence specialists to automate and simplify reporting and forecasting processes
- Provide insights on revenue outcomes across NIM drivers and sensitivities, balance sheet performance including quality (e.g., impairments / provisioning), and capital intensity through driver-based forecasting
- Build capability within the Group for how risk adjusted returns are used across the enterprise and reported, including, but not limited to exploring best practice approaches on product profitability
- Build deeper valuation capability by translating Line of Business (LOB) financials into Sum of The Parts (SoTP) for key capital allocation decisions
- Develop and maintain a view of our competitive environment, and incorporate into ongoing analysis for senior stakeholders
- Contribute to the Group’s corporate / statutory (Australian & offshore) reporting / disclosure in accordance with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirement

What do I need?
- 10+ years banking or financial services experience, chartered or CPA qualified
- Leading and developing a high performing team through ambiguity and change
- Strong Revenue experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement, management, collaboration and partnering experience
- Competency in strategy and policy formulation and delivery
- Balancing risk appetite and group controls to drive the right performance outcomes
- Critically analyse and synthesise complex information into simple digestible key messages and actionable insights
- Combines technical skills with commercial acumen to deliver superior problem-solving and Insights to “connect the dots” beyond the financials
- Extensive practical application of financial data modelling, reporting process and report design through to business implementation
