We are now expanding and are recruiting for Lead ERZ Controllers and ERZ Controllers at our Underground Ironbark No1 Mine.
We are a privately-owned metallurgical coal mining company in the renowned Bowen Basin of Central Queensland. Our team is made up of individuals who are keen to deliver through innovation and reach their potential to work. Fitzroy Mining Operations own and operate Carborough Downs Coal Mine, Broadlea Opencut and Ironbark No.1 Mine, the newest longwall mine in Australia.
About the role
As a frontline leader, you will be responsible for the day to day functioning and performance of the crew. You will effectively manage people and equipment to carry out planned work activities. This role also has statutory obligations.
The minimum skills and expectations for this role are, but not limited to:
- Prioritising of activities with the crew to achieve targets;
- Provide leadership to the crew setting a positive example and assisting the team to achieve their full potential;
- Clearly define and communicate performance goals and provide regular and objective feedback on performance;
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and carrying out statutory inspections and ensuring mining standards;
- Ensuring all workers work safety and efficiently whilst carrying out their duties with due regard for quality of work;
- Complete required levels of reporting as part of information flow on site.

Got what it takes?
To be successful in this role you will have a Queensland or NSW First, Second or Third-class Certificate of Competency with a Queensland Mutual Recognition. You will be able to think laterally, have strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
