About us
The Technology and Systems Portfolio Delivery Office (T+S PDO) supported the T+S Sub-Group to successfully deliver the Translink portfolio of information and communication technology (ICT), ICT-enabled and digital initiatives and to ensure the oversight and governance of all Translink owned technology platforms and ICT applications and Systems.
Key responsibilities
The purpose of the Director (T+S PDO) is to be responsible for providing strategic and innovative direction and leadership in the oversight, governance, and benefits management of the Translink ICT-enabled and digital initiatives portfolio, excluding Smart Ticketing. This position is a senior portfolio/ program management level role which has ultimate responsibility for the governance of public transport technology projects (both customer facing and business support).
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide overall strategic direction for the ICT project governance to ensure compliance with TMR and Whole-of-Government policies and practices.
- Manage, deliver and ensure the benefits realisation of a rolling program involving changes to public transport technology.
- Manage the Translink Portfolio Delivery Board (T+S Sub-Group) on behalf of the Senior Responsible Officer, including implementing continuous improvement of governance and program management practices.
- Manage the contributions and expectations of Translink teams, the department and public and private sector stakeholders through developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Proactively manage and supervise within the workplace all aspects of staff performance management including recruitment and selection, appraising and developing staff, ethical behaviour and decision making.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Requirements of the role
- Program and project management experience and qualifications, including proven experience in the establishment and delivery of major programs and projects.
- Experience working on large scale projects and programs, that incorporate business transformation as well as IT change.
- Portfolio management experience would be an asset, including experience managing multiple investment programs balanced against business as usual activities.
- Experience in the ICT sector, including projects within the Queensland Government, is also desirable.
