About the Team
The Centre for Work Health and Safety is a team of critical and creative multidisciplinary thinkers who use research and development to action real change in work health and safety.
Using a collaborative approach, we work with academia, business, workers and government, responding to ongoing and emerging harms to find solutions for the prevention of harm and to drive better regulation.
The Directorate Support Officer provides executive administrative to the Director, and supports the team to delivery its program of work.
- The primary function of this role is administration duties, which will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Providing high level administrative support ensuring efficient and consistent processes.
Managing team events and forums. - Supporting the team in the coordination of recruitment, financial transactions and other administrative functions.
- Supporting the Director with calendar planning, travel and other administrative functions to optimise use of the Director's time
- Drafts and coordinates team communication and messaging, correspondence, agendas, minutes and briefing notes
You will need to be confident to work independently and to remain focused to ensure timeframe are met.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Plan and prioritise high volumes of work with conflicting or critical deadlines
- Your ability in the use of Microsoft office Suite applications and have adaptable computer skills
- Pride yourself on your accuracy and attention to detail
- Have the ability to adapt and be fluid with work style
- You can communicate effectively
- Work within a team environment
