The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the Commission) is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia. The Internal Integrity Unit is currently recruiting a number of leadership roles to assist us with our important functions.
In this role, you can lead work streams having tangible impacts on lives of people with a disability. The two roles will be responsible for:
1. Director, Administrative Review (Internal Review, FOI, Privacy, Legislative Compliance); and
2. Director, Investigations (PIDs,Complaints against the Commission, workplace investigations, Conflict of Interest).
Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications and capabilities:
- Demonstrated sound technical skills and expertise in either Administrative Review functions or Investigation functions;
- Demonstrated capability to lead a team, and to coach, mentor, nurture, and support staff to elicit high performance and manage underperformance;
- Strong track record in delivering, and leading the delivery of, high-quality, consistent, and timely services in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and complex environment, with a demonstrated focus on client service and working collaboratively to achieve results;
- Demonstrated high emotional intelligence and excellent people skills, including the ability to build and nurture productive working relationships in a complex, high-pressured and sensitive environment;
- High order communication skills (oral and written) including the ability to present and explain complex issues and report on the functions of the team;
- High ethical standards and a high standard of professional and personal integrity;
- Ability to engender trust and respect, complemented by sound judgement and the ability to build organisational capability;
- Creative thinker with the ability to drive continuous improvement in the Internal Integrity Unit’s processes, policies and practices;
- Highly developed organisational skills and capacity to set priorities, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines, including those of the team;
