Position: Disabilities Services Officer
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Alstonville NSW 2477
Our client is seeking a full-time Disabilities Services Officer to join their team located in Alstonville, New South Wales.
Tasks required include:

• Evaluate and assess clients' needs and plan, educate and implement support programs catered to the client;
• Acting as an intermediary between clients, Allied Health Professionals, and other agency officials;
• Assessing, implementing, and training social support workers and stakeholders;
• Monitor client accounts and request for additional funding where necessary;
• Conducting intakes of clients' to assess the nature and extent of their difficulties;
• Observing and reporting client progression, adjusting where necessary;
• Refer clientele to other agencies and service providers that can provide additional support;
• Evaluate community needs and resources for health, housing, employment, welfare, education, and other services;
• Coordinating with community groups, government bodies, private entities and other organisations about widespread issues and client needs;
• Advocate awareness of community resources and services;
• Provide support to clients' family members and educate them on the care required, government institutions, organisations, and other services to assist;
• Assisting clients' of all ages to resolve social, emotional, and financial problems to maintain their independence; and
• Preparing submissions and forms for funding and resources, and reports to government bodies and other agencies.

• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field OR at least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
• At least three (3) years of experience as a Disabilities Services Officer
• A current Australian driver's licence.
