Disability Support Coordinator

About the Client:

Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for a Disability Support Coordinator to join their busy team for an 18-month casual temporary assignment.

About the role

As a Disability Support Coordinator, you will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in service delivery areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities. In addition, your key duties are as follows:

• Gather information from participants and planning partners over the phone or in person, to enable high-quality planning and evidence-based decision-making.
• Use a range of policies, practice guidance and legislation to make funding decisions in relation to participant plans to complement informal, community and mainstream supports.
• Liaise with key stakeholders including Partners in the Community to deliver services to participants.
• Resolve issues and complaints in relation to participant plans.
• Complete administrative and data entry tasks relating to participants.
• Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets.

 
About you

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Proven experience as a Support Coordinator or similar role
• Strong background in the disability industry
• High proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite products
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage various internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to handle tasks with competing deadlines and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
