The Role 

As a CoAbility Support Coordinator, you will be pivotal in providing exceptional support services to Level 2 and 3 participants. Your work will directly impact and make a real difference in our participants' lives. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Connecting participants with relevant services and supports
  • Helping participants understand and make the most of their NDIS plan
  • Helping participants navigate challenges in their support environment, such as access to education, health, justice services and similar
  • Reducing barriers that prevent participants from implementing or using their NDIS plan as intended
  • Helping participants understand and negotiate service agreements
  • Helping build participant capacity and self-advocacy skills
  • Developing and designing support solutions to meet participant outcomes
  • Assisting in resolving points of crisis and developing capacity and resilience within the participant's network
  • Coaching participants through challenges
  • Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
  • Assisting participants in preparing for their plan review and reporting their achieved outcomes
  • Modelling and reinforcing organisational values, culture and practice
About You

To excel in this position, you will:

  • Have a Tertiary qualification in social work, human services, community services or other relevant discipline
  • Have lived or learned experience and the ability to demonstrate transferable skills
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes when working under pressure in a remote environment
  • Embrace cultural awareness and inclusivity as integral components of professional practice
  • Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to connect with participants in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Have comprehensive operational knowledge of the NDIS and relevant legislation, policies, regulations, and service benchmarks.
  • Be process-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, including a proven ability to meet KPIs
  • Demonstrate an ability to network and develop sound relationships with local service providers
