Responsibilities include:
- Supporting clients to participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks including employment, in home support and community access & supporting clients on respite.
- Providing assistance to each client in accordance with their NDIS service plan/risk assessment and as directed by management.
- Monitoring the safety and well-being of clients and reporting any concerns to management.
- Working with clients, family/carers, relevant case managers and other professionals to support the client's individual goals.
- Actively contributing to the team environment through open communication, participating in regular staff meetings, planning processes, ongoing relevant training, performance development and policy reviews.
- Proactively supporting clients’ independence and social connections while promoting positive health & wellbeing.
- Working in accordance with organisational policies and procedures: including those related to client rights, privacy and confidentiality, medication administration, work health and safety.
- Taking reasonable care for participants own health and safety
- Reporting any quality and safety incident or hazards at work to your manager or supervisor.
- Completing client service notes and other relevant details into ShiftCare.
A Support Worker must have (or be willing to obtain);
- Working with Children Blue Clearance
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Driver's Licence and own car with comprehensive insurance, and a willingness to use for transporting clients (where required)
- Mobile phone (SNL Supports currently uses ShiftCare for rostering/ client documentation and notes).

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour, relevant penalties and travel allowances.
Hours available: 15 - 40 per week
Schedule:

Experience in Mental Health/ Peer Support/ lived experience, Seizure management a bonus.
Training provided
Willingness to travel for shifts.
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Working with Children Check (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Required)
