Job Description: Open Circles Disability Support Worker
The Role

Day to Day Responsibilities
During a shift, an Open Circles Disability Support Worker will be required to:
- Provide person centric supports that help participants meet their goals
- When required, provide support with self-care/ domestic activities (toileting, cleaning, cooking etc.)
- Support participants in developing community-based/ peer group relationships
- Ensure administrative requirements are met (timesheets, incident reporting, goal reporting)
Experience and Qualifications
Open Circles Disability Support Workers will:
- Hold a Working with Vulnerable Peoples (WWVP) card (or be able to obtain one)
- Remain compliant in the sector (including completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module, and maintaining up to date registrations)
- Complete required onboarding training
- Have the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals
- Show resilience and calm in high pressure/ situations
- Work inline with Open Circles' policies and procedures
It is desired that Open Circles Disability Support Workers:
- Hold a Driving License and have a registered and fully insured vehicle
- Hold a current first aid certificate (or a willingness to obtain)
- Have prior experience in the NDIS sector
- Are studying a sector related certification, Diploma, or tertiary qualification
