The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering a range of services, including personal care, social participation, in-home domestic assistance, and tailored individual support. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to adapting to the diverse needs of our clients.
This position demands that candidates possess comprehensive car insurance and maintain vehicles in prime condition, coupled with exceptional driving skills. Furthermore, candidates should be willing to travel within the ACT and to nearby regions.
Preference will be given to those with significant experience in Disability Support, especially in areas related to mental health or personal care. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of person-centered approaches, the NDIS Code of Conduct, personal boundaries, incident and risk management, and exhibit precision in record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality personal care services, ensuring the dignity and comfort of the participant.
- Facilitate social participation and community engagement activities tailored to the participant's interests and goals.
- Provide in-home domestic assistance, including light cleaning, meal preparation, and other household tasks.
- Offer individualized support in alignment with the participant's NDIS plan, focusing on enhancing their independence and well-being.
- Collaborate with other support staff and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, documenting care provided, and progress made.
- Attend and participant in regular training sessions provided by our company to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and documentation:
- Preferably holding a minimum of Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Care, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field.
- Experience as a Support Worker within the NDIS framework is ideal. However, we welcome responsible and dependable individuals without prior experience, as training will be provided.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Card.
- Police Check within 3 months.
- Australian Driver's License and reliable transportation.
