Job description
HLCS is currently recruiting for a dedicated Female casual Disability Support Worker to join our team in our mission to empower our clients in achieving their NDIS goals and realizing their life aspirations.
At present, we offer personalized one-on-one support services to our clients, encompassing a range of areas, including:
- Daily activities
- Social engagement
- Assisted living within their homes
- Active community involvement
- Transportation assistance
- Respite care
- Weekday and weekend care
We are committed to providing comprehensive support across these aspects, ensuring that our clients receive the assistance they need to enhance their daily lives and foster a sense of belonging in their communities.
Key role:
As a Support Worker, your primary role will be to offer support to participants . You will play a vital role in promoting their autonomy, ensuring they have choices and control over their lives, and assisting them in reaching their individual goals. Your dedication to empowering participants and helping them achieve personal growth will be paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with the service agreement requirements of each funded package and meeting all specified deadlines
- Assisting participants in attaining positive outcomes aligned with their personal goals as outlined in their NDIS plan.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Working independently within the community or the participant's home.
- Actively participating in corporate and community events.
- Transporting participants to various services and appointments
- Delivering high-quality support to participants with varying levels of needs.
- Providing detailed reports after each shift.
- Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

As a casual employee, you will enjoy flexibility in your work schedule while receiving a competitive hourly rate. The role will be based in Toowoomba, allowing you to provide support to participants within this community.
Essentials:
The successful candidate will also be required to possess or have the ability to obtain the following:
- NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- Blue Card certification
- Current Police check clearance
- An open driver's license
- Comprehensive car insurance
- First Aid and CPR certificates
- NDIS Workers' Orientation module completion
- Infection control training specific to the NDIS sector
- Full vaccination or a relevant medical exemption
These additional qualifications and clearances are necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of our participants, as well as to comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
