Disability Support WorkerOperations | Brighton North precinctClosing date: 02/06/2024About the RoleWe are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our teams at North Brighton and surrounding Southern suburbs and provide outstanding support to our clients.
- Approx 20-30 hours rosters with ability to pick up aditional available shifts
- Permanent rotating rosters, to give you variety and work/life balance! Shifts including mornings, evenings and weekend

- Engaging with a focus on supporting person-centred active care, this may include health care, medication administration, personal care and hygiene, transport, education, cooking and domestic duties
- Empowering the people you support to make choices and decisions about all aspects of their life, focusing on the needs and goals of the individual
- Supporting individuals to connect, get involved with and maintain networks within the community
- Working collaboratively with your team to ensure consistency of service delivery
- Getting involved to plan and engage with activities for the individual you support with a keen focus on their interests
- Communicating positively and professionally with the people we support, their networks and stakeholders
- Flexible to work in the North Brighton or surrounding Southern Suburbs
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with a disability, may include experience with those who exhibit challenging behaviours
- Proficient written and verbal communication, able to utilise their communication skills to build rapport with the people we support
- Available to commit to a 7-day rotating roster
- Please be aware that candidates may be required to use their own vehicle in the course of their duties, a mileage fee will be reimbursed
- Experience with Mental Health supports desired
- Minimum Completed Certificate III Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Nursing related
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Valid DHS Disability Service Clearance
- DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Desired)
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 & HLTAID001)
- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence
- Unrestricted Working Rights
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Medication Certificate (Already in place or willing to obtain post interview - via SALC or Learning Options providers are accpeted cost is $120)
