Disability Support Worker

Currently, we have multiple vacancies for Disability Support Workers to join our team working with participants both 1:1 and in SIL and SDA housing.
The Position
Disability Support Workers provide domestic assistance, personal care, transport, positive health and well being opportunities and support our NDIS participants to achieve their goals.
The supports and services we provide to our participants are:
- Daily personal care assistance
- Domestic supports including cleaning, washing and cooking
- Community access and transport
- Active overnight awake shifts / sleepover night shifts
- Social engagement support
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Certificate III or higher in Disability or Individual Support, Aged Care or Nursing, or currently enrolled
- PEG, Quality of Life Feeds, and stoma care experience highly desirable
- Able to work some 1:1 active overnight shifts each week
- Valid driver's licence
- Own registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain before commencement
- Experience in manual and mechanical hoist use
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Current Yellow Card
- Working with Children Blue Card
- Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Quality Safety and You) or willingness to complete prior to commencing
- Have the willingness to support participants with personal care and domestic duties
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks
- Have good computer, phone, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Have a strong sense of personal accountability and confidentiality
