We exist because not all children who were born with, or acquire a disability, have a good start to life and we are searching for anyone with a big heart and the patience of a saint to join us. Eyes in the back of your head is an advantage but not essential.

Littles through to young adults living with a disability, need what you can give - a little bit role-model, a little bit mentor, and a little bit best friend. They need someone they can look up to no matter how tall they grow.

We welcome those with experience as well as those who have transferable skills and a passion to learn.

We like:

• Perform tasks to support the health, hygiene and general well-being of clients including personal care
• Assist clients to achieve their goals though individual support plans
• Perform a range of household tasks with clients which can range from cooking meals, cleaning & shopping
• Support clients to access their community and attend medical appointments
• Experience with caring for clients with complex needs including communication, behavioural and diagnosed developmental disorders
• Familiarity with implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans

We need:

• A current Disability Worker Screening Clearance Card & Blue Card (working with Children) is required before you can commence work.
• Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS 2)
• Mobile Phone
• Current unrestricted Queensland Drivers Licence

• Availability and willingness to work any day or time of the week or weekend. [* Due to the nature of the support, we provide, shifts can be office hours, evenings, sleepovers and/or weekends].
