Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
Unidex is currently looking for Disability Support Workers to work with a participant based in Mount Martha, VIC. As NIISQ & NDIS providers we specialize in working with clients with brain and spinal cord injuries. This client requires complex care support for a range of disabilities including personal care.

Pay Rates:

· Day - $40.00 per hour

· Evening - $44.50 per hour

· Saturday - $57.00 per hour

· Sunday - $75.00 per hour

· Sleepover shifts maybe available in future.

• Travel Allowance $0.96 per kilometre (applies when transporting to/from medical related appointments only)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with personal care
• Completing skin checks
• Bowel therapy
• Catheter care and changes
• Assist to setup / meal preparation and cleaning up afterwards
• Assistance with domestic tasks (e.g. laundry, clean toilet, clean floor etc)
• Parenting assistance
• Parenting assistance (Participant to be present at all times)
• Daily Monitoring & Reporting of his current health conditions
• Companionship & Capacity Building

Skills & Experiences:

• Previous experience working with spinal cord injuries
• Australian Driver Licence
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
• Current Blue Card
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
• Bowel care/therapy experience Required
