Everly Care is looking to employ multiple casual professionals to support a number of NDIS participants who all have varying temperaments and support needs
About us:
Everly Care is a newer Disability Support organisation located in Bendigo and we service the Greater Bendigo region.
About the role:
- Support Workers are directly responsible for the day-to-day support and personal development of participants accessing services operated by Everly Care.
- Support Workers ensure that they support participants to be at the centre of their decision-making and enable them to achieve the desired outcomes of their plans, goals and aspirations in partnership with their families and carers.
- Support Workers ensure that supports are provided in accordance with the National Disability Services Standards and other relevant legislation and are active in advocating the rights of people with a disability.
- Work may include supporting participants with life transitions, planning, cleaning, shopping, cooking, exercise. There is almost no limit to the kind of supports you might find yourself providing. You will need to be reasonably fit and motivated to ensure you are providing to the level of support that is required.
Requirements:
•Qualifications or experience in the field desirable But not necessarily required. Many people who have not had previous formal experience have become exceptional Support Workers.
•You will also either have an NDIS Screening already or be able to pass one immediately.
•Working With Children Check is also required.
•Own vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
•Basic computer skills for progress notes and data management.
