Helping Solutions is a registered NDIS provider committed to delivering the highest standards of service and support to people living with disabilities in Perth, Geraldton, and rural Western Australia.
Our Geraldton team is currently seeking Support Workers. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with support in a wide range of goal requirements
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide medication administration and support with medical appointments
- Help clients with household tasks, meal preparation, and cleaning
- Plan and engage in activities to promote social interaction and physical well-being
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services
- Provide emotional support and advocacy for clients as needed
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and support needs
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other care providers when required
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and protocols
Role Requirements
- Valid or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with Comprehensive Insurance
- Certificate 3 or above in Individual Support
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- We are open to working various shifts at either our participants' homes or our SDA home
