Your Role: As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our clients to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Experience in complex Mental Health: Ability to make sound decisions and de-escalate crisis, empathy tact and patience. Keen social perceptiveness.
- Personalised Care: Offering one-on-one support and personalized care to individuals with disabilities, fostering a sense of trust and understanding.
- Assistance with Daily Living: Assisting with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Community Engagement: Encouraging community participation and social integration to enhance our clients' quality of life.
- Skill Development: Facilitating skill development in areas such as communication, mobility, and self-reliance.
- Emotional Support: Providing a supportive and caring presence, actively listening to their concerns and offering encouragement.

Please note that you can be rostered to work across various homes in Brisbane.
These roles are classified as a level 3 under the SCHADS Award.
Depending on level of qualifications and experience will determine what stream you will be based at.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, we are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:

Previous experience in Disability Support work (preferred but not mandatory).
- NDIS Worker Screening
- A Working with Children blue card
- A valid Australian driver's license with a reliable and comprehensively insured car
- A current first aid certificate (within 3 years) and CPR (within 1 year)
- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards challenges.
- Relevant certifications and training are advantageous.
