Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III / IV Individual Support/Disability desirable and/or related qualification.
- Disability work experience (minimum 6 months) or evidence that you are working towards certificate.
- Certificate of NDIS worker Orientation Module
- Certificate of Infection Control Certificate
- Current First AID and CPR certificate
- Working with Vulnerable People Check with NDIS Endorsement
- Valid Driver's License with access to insured vehicle
- Covid-19 Digital Vaccination Certificate or Immunization Statement
- Experience in drug and Alcohol management.
Tasks & responsibilities
- This is hands-on, person-centered role which includes working to promote independence, inclusion, and a strengths-based approach to developing skills and abilities and accessing the community. You will be providing positive, respectful, dedicated, assistance with activities of daily living and domestic activities, Community participation, skill building etc.
- Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
- Providing supported Independent Living
- Work in accordance with care plans and NDIS goals
- Work in accordance with all Elite Disability/Respite Care policies and procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining as effective and productive team.
- Assisting in the development of independence, leading to increased choice and control.
- Maintain professional relationships with Participants and with their families and stakeholders.
- Update Participant's case/progress notes and documents as required.
