Qualifications & experience
- Worker Screening check.
- Working with Children Check.
- Police check (no more than 1 year old).
- Own, reliable vehicle.
- Drivers license.
- Patience, empathy and a desire to understand the people you are supporting.
- Certificate 3 in Individual support and advantage but not mandatory.
- Experience working with people with
- Comprehensive Motor Insurance for your vehicle
- Be willing to undertake work in the community
- Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Experience with mental health a benefit but not mandatory
Tasks & responsibilities
- Working with young people with ASD, assisting them in navigating the community and attending events.
- Supporting people with community access, appointments, hobbies, and exercise activities (hiking, bush walking, going to parks, picnics, and community centres).
- Supporting participants with personal care and assisting them in developing life skills and organisation.
- Mentoring and working with people with executive function and sensory challenges.
- Assisting clients with a range of personal care, hygiene and domestic duties.
- Assisting with Transfers/hoisting between the toilet, bed, motor vehicles, etc.
- Helping people build Genuine connections.
