DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER FOR LIFEAWARE
IWC is seeking casual Support Workers who will be responsible for providing direct support and assistance to the National Disability Scheme (NDIS) participants, enhance their independence, empowering them to achieve short and long-term goals, and improving their overall quality of life.

IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation. We deliver services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with participants to identify their goals and aspirations.
- Assist participants in acquiring and enhancing life skills to promote independence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other NDIS Support Workers, healthcare professionals, and relevant parties to ensure holistic care.
- Complete required documentation in accordance with NDIS guidelines.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support ( Disability) or ability to enrol.
- High Level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while functioning in a team setting.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Employment is subject to a NDIS Workers Screening Check and Clearance.
- A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain.
- A first Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
- Complete COVID-19 Vaccination status ( as per IWC Policy).
- A Blue Card ( Working with children Card QLD)* or ability to obtain.
- A federal police check or ability to obtain.
- Own transport is required.
- Mobile phone required.
* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
