Brighter Futures Consulting in an emerging leader in Darwin and remote disability sector offering a range of consultancy services right through to supporting individuals in their own homes.
We are a highly experienced NDIS provider who are passionate about supporting participants and their families in the delivery of expert and timely services and support in accordance with their needs.
Our scope of service crosses a wide range of disciplines including Supported Independent Living, Behavioural Support, Occupational Therapy, Support Coordination, Disability Support Work and Music Therapy making us a recognised preferred NDIS provider to the Darwin community.
About the role
We are seeking experienced support staff to join our dynamic team supporting a vivacious young indigenous lady who loves life. You will be working on a 24/7, 1-1 roster. The SIL (Supported Independent Living) facility is based in Zucolli.
Our client has BOC and requires responsive, caring and stimulating support staff to assist to swiftly deescalate and redirect. Our client is responsive to supports and enjoys partnering with support staff in her activities of daily living and is general and enjoyable client to partner with. There is comprehensive Behaviour Support training and other supports in place to ensure your role on this team is an enjoyable, achievable, and safe.
Duties
- Day to day in home support
- Domestic assistance
- Companionship
- Community access assistance
- Family assistance & Support
- Previous experience working in a SIL setting supporting complex needs and behaviours
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to cover at least 3 shifts per week on a regular rotating roster
Mandatory
- Previous support work experience
- Working with Children Card
- First aid certificate
- CPR certificate
- Double covid vaccinations
- Cert III qualification
- NDIS Worker Screening Card
- NDIS Orientation Module
- Excellent rapport building capabilities and communication skills
- Proven problem solving skills
