What we are looking for:
ITEC is looking for committed staff who can show their adaptability, resilience and an ability to problem solve. Being a Support Worker can be both challenging and rewarding, with this in mind we are seeking people who have a passion for helping others. We are seeking team members who can take lead from the participant and care coordinators to implement NDIS funding in a way that our participants choose.
Tasks you can expect as a Support Worker with ITEC:
- Domestic duties
- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Community access activities
- Case notes and incident reporting
About you:
- Must hold a current Working with Children Check, NDIS Clearance (Yellow Card).
- Have completed or enrolled in a certificate III in individual support or higher
- Must hold current Manual Handling Certificate (HLTWHS005, annual)
- Hold a current HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain.
- Hold current QLD open Drivers Licence and highly desirable to have own insured vehicle.
- Experience with participants with challenging behaviours.
- Rights to work in Australia (Citizen or permanent resident).
- Available at least 4 days per week
