Disability Support Worker

• Employment Term: Casual and/or Perm Part Time (50 hours per fortnight)
• Location: Based at Alderley with travel to Strathpine required
• Remuneration: $40.26 + 11% Super + allowances

We are seeking Disability Support Workers for our client based at Alderley. As an integral part of our Disabilities Services team, you’ll be supported to grow, and develop your own skills while helping our clients with day-to-day tasks and achieving their goals. 

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be balancing your commitment to actively work in partnership with individuals and their families while helping the people we support, in their own homes or within group care.

The work is varied, interesting and fulfilling. This may include, helping someone to get-up, have a shower and breakfast and then head out to an appointment; or assisting someone to catch-up with friends for coffee, or engaging in favourite hobby, sport or a day out.

• An understanding of active support and positive behavioural support is desirable
• Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and co-workers
• Being flexible (able to work varied hours and days) and reliable to meet the needs of the people we support
• Experience working in the Disability, Aged and Community sector is essential
• A current NDIS Worker Screening check and Blue Card
• Open Drivers License; and
• Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (required before you start)
