Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated NDIS Support Workers to join our team. As an NDIS Support Worker, you will provide invaluable assistance and support to individuals living with disabilities, enabling them to participate fully in their communities and live independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support services as outlined in individual care plans.
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household chores, and personal hygiene tasks.
- Supporting individuals to access community activities, appointments, and social outings.
- Encouraging and promoting independence and autonomy in all aspects of daily life.
- Building positive relationships with clients, their families, and support networks.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience working in the disability sector or similar role preferred.
- Understanding of person-centered support principles and the ability to apply them in practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
