Essence Quality Care (EQC) is a Registered NDIS Disability Service Provider. We pride ourselves on being an employer of choice for Disability Support professionals. EQC provide innovative and flexible person-centred support for people living with a disability. We are currently building support teams for multiple clients based in Logan and Wacol areas. Additionally, In our accommodation service in Wacol, we provide support to participants of rehabilitation programs that are at high risk, currently or previously involved with the Criminal Justice System.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have demonstrated experience providing support to participants with high complex needs and or behaviours of concern. Essential to the role will be an ability to maintain professional boundaries and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
About You:
You have experience with the following:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a special emphasis on progress notes, incident reporting, and internal communication systems
- Experience working with complex behaviours (Maybo qualification highly regarded but not essential)
- Supporting healthy routines and skill's development
- Identify and support the physical, emotional and relational needs of participants
- Manage complex and challenging behaviours and be able to implement PBSP strategies when needed
- Keep accurate and complete records of activities / goals via progress notes
- Patient and emotionally resilient with effective listening skills & an adaptable communication style
- The ability to within a team whilst making a positive and effective contribution through various means of communication platforms to achieve shared outcomes
