About the Opportunity
La Vita Care are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker with a background in Mental Health to cover a variety of shifts in the Blackburn area.
You will support multiple clients with varying disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, ABI and Autism.
The ability to slow down and hold a descent conversation across a variety of topics and enjoy a laugh is valued as well as your capacity to quickly understand and respond to changing client social, emotional, physical and medical support needs.
Applicants should be prepared to support our client with activities of daily living such as medication, domestic duties, attending appointments and living their best life. Training will be provided.

Skills & Experience
- Cert IV in Disability or a relevant qualification and a minimum of 6mths experience in the sector.
- Prior experience in mental health or post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
- Friendly disposition and engaging manner
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid Training
- Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
- COVID-19 Immunisation
- Access to a car and a current driver's license (you will be required to transport clients in your own vehicle, but you will be reimbursed per kilometre for this)
- Ability to work autonomously.
