We are seeking a self motivated Dispatch Manager to join our team. As a vital member of our warehouse operations, you'll primarily focus on picking and packing orders, assisting with container unloading, and supporting stock reworking activities. We need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to collaborate with the team to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
The successful applicant will:
- Oversee all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution, to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Lead and mentor warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management, to maintain a high-performing team.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate dispatch activities with warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the warehouse, such as workflow optimisation and resource allocation, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with quality control measures to meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Enforce health and safety policies and procedures within the warehouse to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Address any warehouse-related issues or concerns raised by customers or other departments and ensure prompt resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure that warehouse equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviced to minimise downtime
You will also have / demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- A good level of physical fitness and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
