Responsibilities:

Dispensing Medications:

• Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations related to dispensing.

Patient Counseling:

• Provide clear and concise information to patients regarding proper medication usage, potential side effects, and any other relevant information.
• Answer patient inquiries and address concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Compounding:

• Prepare compounded medications as per physician prescriptions and in compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized compounding area, ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Perform regular checks for expired medications and assist in the organization of stock rotations.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Quality Assurance:

• Adhere to quality control processes, ensuring accuracy and precision in all dispensing and compounding activities.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.

Qualifications:

• Preferred - Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Preferred - Previous experience as a Dispensary Technician in a community pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge of compounding practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
