The Opportunity
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse or Distribution Supervisor to join our team based in Erskine Park, NSW. Reporting to the NSW Distribution Manager, the successful candidate will supervise and coordinate all aspects of the distribution Day Shift activities and personnel to achieve distribution targets and customer service excellence ensuring that the business needs are met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing staff levels and scheduling workloads for shift personnel as well as:
- Ensuring transport schedule is on time
- Authorise product changes to meet customers’ needs
- Plan work and solve problems
- Design the interstate load plans
- Processing of deliveries in ERP system
- Assist with day-to-day functions as required to meet customer demands including order picking and loading trucks
- General warehouse duties
- Inventory management
- Training of others and maintaining records
- Ensure all health, safety and environment policies and procedures are adhered to;
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role you will be a positive influence on DIFOT, stock accuracy and have a continuous improvement mindset. You will also be a strong team player who is outcome focused with a ‘can do’ attitude. Your flexible, positive and enthusiastic approach will ensure strong leadership and motivation. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are hands on, co-ordinating work in a safe and efficient manner. You will ideally have:
- 2-5 years’ experience in a Supervisory role
- Strong communication skills and be proficient in MS applications
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements relating to distribution and transportation of goods and CoR.
- Strong safety focus
- Completed Certificate III in Warehousing and Distribution
- Qualification in Management or a Supervisory certificate will be highly regarded
- Current forklift license
