Distribution Centre Supervisor

*Note: this role is between 2am-10am 

What will I contribute? 

The DC Supervisor is responsible and accountable for managing operations around receivals, dispatch and order fulfilment. Here’s what you’ll be doing: 

• Booking in stock received (from growers, interstate offices, market purchases, etc) as required 
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in relation to transport Proof of Delivery (POD) queries and returned stock including rejections and over supplied quantities, and grower stock receivables as required
• Follow up stock rejections by customers and ensure stock is returned to the warehouse in a timely manner, credited and transferred as/if required.
• Ensure stock rotation on a First in First out basis to minimise wastage alongside Value Add team
• Book in timeslots for order deliveries at customer Distribution Centre’s
• Book freight with transport companies (advise PO numbers for interstate deliveries)
• Communicate with transport companies regarding all freight related queries and truck requirements
• Keep record of pallet counts and crate counts
• To ensure freight efficiency, ensure pallet heights do no exceed maximum levels
• Take responsibility for the maintenance and cleanliness of the forklift use operated that day
• Keep inside and outside of warehouse tidy and safe
• Attend and actively participate in all team meeting as and when required
• Operate a forklift in accordance with license and safety requirements
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

What do I need for the role? 

You’ll have: 

• Current Forklift licence
• Current Drivers licence
• Experience in a fresh produce environment preferred
• Ability to work within cold storage environments
• 1-2 years previous warehouse experience 
• Good time management and planning capability
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail & accuracy
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to supervise workers
• Ability to comply with Company policies and procedures and related legislative requirements
