As Operation Manager you will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, compliance, and delivery of exceptional service quality in line with NDIS practice standards and regulations. This role involves a pivotal function in overseeing and optimising the operational aspects related to Teuila’s specialised disability service delivery. The Operation Manager collaborates closely with Team Leaders, Roster Clerk, Program Coordinator, Senior support workers and Support Workers to ensure the creation and delivery of optimal services that achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
- Provide direction and leadership in the execution of Teuila’s service operations.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of services.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines, standards, and regulations.
- Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee the delivery of high-quality services.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Supervise and mentor team leaders around best practice standards of care.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist the General Manager to set budgets, monitor cash flow and financial performance while ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimisation.
- Ensure teams are working within their delegated budgets and financial limits.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies for budget adherence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NDIS participants, families, and service providers.
- Utilise data analytics to assess the effectiveness of Teuila’s service activities and programs.
- Generate regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and outcomes achieved.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of Teuila’s support service delivery.
- Ensure a safe service delivery environment for participants and workers.
Selection criteria
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Health Services Management, Public Administration, Social Work, Disability Studies, Human Services
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Current Blue card (or willing to obtain)
- Current NDIS worker screening (or willing to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and a registered vehicle with comprehensive Insurance
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- Understanding of National Disability Insurance Scheme, NDIS policies, guidelines, and procedures and up to date with relevant training programs.
- Knowledge and understanding in best practice frameworks in project management, quality assurance, or leadership development.
- Practical experience and proven skills in a leadership or management role within the disability services sector, preferably with a focus on NDIS and or experience in overseeing operations, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
