About the opportunity
This role requires excellent communication skills, high-level organisational skills and the ability to lead a team.
In this role, you will be:
- Responsible for customer service in cluster divisions
- Responsible for divisional administration in cluster divisions
- Responsible for communication between community, stakeholders, the elected arm of Council and the Executive Team of Council
- Able to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team through ongoing performance appraisal and liaise with People & Wellbeing with regards to identified performance needs.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant nationally recognised qualification
- Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
- Desirable C Class open licence (operate a manual vehicle)
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Strict adherence to confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency using the MS Office Suite
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and managing competing demands
- The ability to be culturally responsive by demonstrating an understanding of the issues affecting Torres Strait Islander people and communicating with sensitivity and effectiveness
- Possession of a Blue Card or eligible to obtain a Blue Card Working with Children.
