Austal are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our global ship-building company at Macedonia Street, Naval Base. The role is accountable to the Configuration Management Lead and will assist in the document control activities supporting Defence and Commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, knowledgeable PLM team.
Key objectives & responsibilities:
- Managing documents, data and records, ensuring only approved, current documentation is available for use throughout the organisation.
- Provide support to the CM Lead, as directed
- Key responsibilities include:
- Registering, upload and retrieval of technical data
- Distribution of technical data
- Compliance to company policies
- Promote compliance of document control governance and standards
- Provide administration services
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- Previous experience in document control standards and processes
- Willingness to learn and complete professional training
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Enjoys working as part of a team and able to work autonomously
- MS Office skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload
