We are seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our Aged Community Care Team in Pingelly. The Domestic Assistant supports clients with domestic tasks in the home and encourages clients to actively participate in their care to maintain their independence. Pay Rate:
- Domestic Assistant $27.90 (Permanent Part Time) + Super
- Salary packaging - up to $18,550 tax free per annum
- Plus $0.96c per k/m travel allowance
- Support clients to undertake domestic tasks in the home such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and other tasks as prescribed within the care/support plan
- Inspire clients to participate in their care, encouraging them to undertake what they can and assisting where they require support
- Support clients to maintain control of their lives by understanding and developing their functional capacity to improve their overall health and wellbeing
- Develop and maintain an awareness of the support needs of each client to ensure appropriate person centered services are provided, escalating any concerns or feedback as required
- Undertake routine administrative tasks on Comcare notes, care/support plans and other relevant documentation that complies with organisational policies and procedures
- Participate in activities and conversations that support continuous improvement of service delivery, to ensure quality service provision is maintained and to achieve Best Care for every client
- Work cooperatively and develop respectful relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to undertake domestic/housekeeping tasks to a satisfactory standard, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Effective interpersonal skills to build trust, confidence, and rapport with clients, enabling you to encourage and motivate clients to be as independent as possible
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to ensure effective service delivery and to ensure service provision can be discussed, recorded, and reported on as required
- Ability to prioritise work
- Ability to work alone within a home and/or out in the community and an ability to work as part a team
- Basic First Aid Certificate is desirable
- Willingness to work towards Certificate III in Community Services, Individual Support or Aged Care would be highly desirable
- Salary packaging - up to $18,550 tax free per annum
- Leave loading 17.5%
