Draftsperson

2MT Mining Products (2MT) is a national, consumable wear parts supply company specialising in dragline chain and rigging parts, ground engaging tools, crusher wear parts and other specialised wear prevention products for fixed and mobile plant, for supply to mining regions throughout Australia.

We are currently seeking an experienced Draftsperson for our Mackay office, based in Paget.

Key responsibilities of this full-time position Include:

• Liaising with internal clients to produce engineering drawing packages
• Creating 3D models and producing 2D design drawings
• Assisting Product Support team through scanning of projects
• Processing laser scanned data
• Creating 2D engineering drawings with a high level of detail

To apply, you must possess:

• Sound knowledge of engineering principles
• Strong background in drafting and 3D modelling
• Proficient in Solidworks as a minimum, with Geo Magic experience being an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of computers including the Microsoft office suite
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Passion to learn and be part of a dynamic team environment
• Self-motivation and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Hold a current C Class driver's license
• Ability to occasionally travel for short periods of time within Australia

Desirable:

• Experience in mining and construction wear parts
• Experience with 3D measurement tools, FARO products being an advantage.
