PTE Group are a market leading vehicle body building business in Welshpool who specialises in a variety of products, including truck bodies, trailers, custom designs and equipment for several very large clients across Western Australia.
We are looking for an experienced Draftsperson / Engineer who has worked in the transport industry. The successful applicant will be responsible for producing engineering drawings for the construction of our products.
Your Duties will include the following:
- Designs for Light & Heavy Vehicles
- Develop and manage drafting standards.
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers by phone, email, and in person
- Manage drawing control register.
- Manage and update customers and internal CRM systems.
- Creation of products and project library
- Attending weekly Manufacturing meetings
- Material and Cost Estimation
- Produce drawings for tenders, projects and the day-to-day operation within our busy workshop.
- Liaise with Managers and Team Leaders in regard to ordering material.
Your skills and qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role, including designing and building Trucks Trays and Trailers
- Must have extensive experience in SolidWorks.
- Interpreting technical drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organisational and planning skills
- Able to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Certification in Engineering Drafting and/or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
- Intricate knowledge of engineering principles relating to the transport industry including VSB6
You must have the right to work in Australia long term.
A salary between $85,000 - $105,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
