Draftsperson - Residential Construction

About the Role

As a Draftsperson, you will be responsible for providing quality working drawings for our clients at various stages, for the end purpose of building their contracted home. The key responsibilities of this role are:

• Preparation of working drawings including completed site plans, updating plans for mark ups/Amended Plan and Final Plan Review (FPR)
• Preparation of Modified Standard Plans (MSP) when assigned
• Producing accurate plans that comply with Building Standards and Coral Homes’ building policy
• Completion of drafting memo on all tender, contract and FPR plans
• Ensure completion of driveway assessment to ensure driveway gradient is suitable and is within the council and Coral Homes building policy
• Ensure completion of earthworks calculator on every site plan to ensure an accurate cut and fill line has been assigned
• Checking of covenants and council requirements prior to completing plans and ensuring plans are compliant
• Ensuring dates and other relevant information are accurately entered into Framework as required
• Ensuring slab designs, retaining wall designs, bracing designs, steel beam designs, energy assessments are ordered daily and dates in Framework are accurately entered to suit

About You

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• A minimum of 2 years drafting experience working for a high-volume project builder (highly regarded)
• Proficient in the use of Revit (essential)
• Certificate IV in Building Design Drafting or similar discipline (highly regarded)
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
• Highly driven and self-motivated, able to work autonomously
