Our Hotel
The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney is a Heritage Listed 364 room, five-star classic hotel located between Sydney's best shopping area and Circular Quay.
The Role
Our Duty Managers are expected to manage all aspects of the Front Desk and Concierge on the morning, evening or if required the overnight shift to provide leave coverage. This role is supported by our team of experienced and friendly Concierges, Porters and Front Office Attendants. Our philosophy is that every guest is welcomed and assisted throughout their stay with our global ‘Yes I Can’ spirit 24/7 which is reflected in our online guest satisfaction feedback.
About You
As a Duty Manager, you and your experienced team take on the responsibility for 100% guest satisfaction. Our highly professional team take pride in their ‘can do’ attitude in ensuring that all guests are treated as VIP's.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager in a 4 or 5-star international hotel
- Experience managing a small team with people management skills
- Experience with building fire evacuation procedures
- You will be required to hold a First Aid Certificate and a NSW RSA.
- Outstanding corporate presentation & communication skills in fluent English
- Ability to close off and roll-over a hotel system and have basic I.T. troubleshooting skills
- Accuracy with preparing management reports and daily briefing sheets & basic night audit duties
- Advanced Opera PMS and Microsoft Office suite is essential
- Knowledge of Sydney and surroundings
- Occasional overnights is a requirement of the position to provide leave coverage if required and part of your initial training will require some overnight shifts so that you are trained for occasional leave coverage.
What you will recieve
You will be supported by a dedicated team during your shift as well as being mentored by our experienced Hotel and Front Office Manager. Within your first 30 days, you will join our 2-day comprehesive Hotel Orientation training.
Our rates are as per the Hospitality Industry General Award. Please see current base rate: $70,692.00 + superannuation (plus meals + complimentary laundered uniform.
