Job Description
As a Duty Manager in Roxie's, the ideal candidate will report to the Venue Manager(s) and will understand and be able to execute all aspects of bar operations, general preparation of the venue, ability to manage staff and be able to deliver a memorable experience for all of our guests.
They will be able be important in ensuring that in house policies and procedures are implemented, especially in the absence of the Venue Manager(s).
They will be a key player in the communication process liaising between staff, customer, kitchen and management. Customer service and preparation will be at the forefront of your decision making processes.
This role is well suited to someone who has has extensive experience in a similar role, or someone who has relevant experience in a similar venue that and would like to take a step up into a management position backed by a strong executive team.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that our customers are looked after with a strong focus on customer service
- Maintaining Bar & venue presentation
- Training of new and existing bar and wait staff
- Minimising cost of wages through affective management of published rosters
- Working with the Function team to help oversee the affective delivery of bookings, functions and events
- Ensuring a high standard of service is created and maintained through individual product knowledge and on the job training
- Overseeing cocktail and bar preparation
- Opening and closing the venue
Experience & Attributes
- The proven ability to manage staff and lead by example.
- Ability to contribute a happy and enthusiastic demeanour.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of presentation and delivery.
- Experience in all aspects of food and beverage service.
- Experience in a similar supervisor role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team or independently at a fast pace.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong planning and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
- Comprehensive understanding of the customer service equation
- Experience with high volume service
- Current RSA & RP Badge (or eligible to be issued with one)
