An exciting new opportunity has become available for an experienced E-Commerce Manager to join our in-house digital marketing team.

The Role:

This is a brand new Full-Time role to be ideally based in our Burleigh Heads global HQ. 

Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing, this role manages our e-commerce team and is responsible for our global online experience. You will monitor and achieve the e-commerce channels budget, including top line and profitability metrics. This role will maximise and optimise the brands current online experience to continually capture and attract e-commerce sales.

Leading and overseeing various key projects within the role we are looking for talent who have advanced skillset in Shopify, Google Analytics, solid SEO understanding and PowerBI experience. You must live and breathe e-commerce and ideally have international or global market experience. 

We may be open to remote based talent (alternate location base preference would be Sydney).

Key Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Head of Digital, develop and execute the global e-commerce strategy with the goal to optimise products and increase sales  
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new e-commerce, marketplace and Omni-Channel marketing and sales opportunities, processes, and platforms relevant to the company to attract, develop and convert new and existing sales leads  
  • Manage all websites on the Shopify plus platform. Responsible for online merchandising including product page copy, imagery and video, as well as store, promotion and campaign landing pages
  • Accountability of the overall performance of the e-commerce budget, achieving KPIs while remaining in budget  
  • Lead the end to end lifecycle of products on site, including enrichment of all saleable products online and exit strategy to maintain organic search results  
  • Implement and optimise SEO strategy to dramatically lift organic rankings  
  • Manage the technical SEO elements on the websites, including page load speed, URL redirects, google indexing and perform technical website checks  
  • Develop project plans as well as contribute to digital channel strategy alongside other marketing department managers  
  • Carry out frequent split testing to deliver optimized UX 
  • Manage team to publish all website content for products, collections, campaigns, and promotions according to timelines  
  • Produce weekly & monthly reports and identify opportunities for increased conversion and sales 
  • Creation and implementation of e-commerce reporting tools to gain insights to drive sales and identify opportunities  
  • Compile information from website analytics, usability testing in order to change business goals and current practices to continually optimize the effectiveness and discoverability of content  
  • Manage and develop direct reports to foster highly engaged and exceptional team performance 
  • Manage external agency relationships, including website development agency 
  • Manage ongoing website support and inventory tickets requests via Freshdesk  
  • Conduct research reports on markets, competitors and new technology

Essential Knowledge/Behaviours Required:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role at a similar level 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Marketing 
  • Experience in e-commerce platforms with strong commercial experience within e-commerce industry  
  • Proven track record in managing e-commerce projects, including enhancing technological solutions, mobile application delivery and customer experience  
  • Proven ability to drive e-commerce sales and traffic and evaluate multi-source data and draw trends  
  • Experience in leading a high-performance e-commerce team and work within budgets and deadlines  
  • Highly effective time management and the ability to deliver to agreed timelines  
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure  
  • Proven analytical capabilities – ability to leverage analytics to help the channel realise competitive advantages and improve performance and key metrics  
  • Ability to create strategic roadmaps clearly aligning to organization objectives and goals  
  • Strategic leadership and problem solving abilities  
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Shopify, and Google Analytics/Power BI, Intermediate html experience   
  • Ability to work independently at a senior level  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills  
  • Knowledgeable of the e-commerce and retail space that includes marketing strategies, product management, industry trends and usability best practices   
  • Passion and understanding of the GLL brand vision and alignment with the GLL Values
